In 10 hours, Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. I’m not sure I can express how happy I am to see George W Bush leave and how excited/elated I am to see Barack H Obama sworn in. Part of me feels guilty that I didn’t do enough to help bring about this change but I also recognize that I probably did more than most. I like to think I helped to convince a few people to vote for Obama.
Our country is facing so many challenges, not seen since FDR took office. That said, the size of these problems may be enough to convince people to accept some of the drastic changes we need. Economic issues, international issues, healthcare, and the list goes on.
I really wish at I was at the Inauguration. Should I have done more to be there? I’ve never been to Washington DC but my desire and interest has never been greater.
